a. A Unit of Credit. A Unit of Credit or fraction thereof shall be given upon satisfactory completion of a course of study or learning experience in harmony with adopted state course of study, with the duration of the course offering being 150 clock hours unless the course is offered on a performance basis, in which case minimum standards of performance will be established by the local board of education in terms of skills, knowledge, attitudes and values. No less than one-fourth unit of credit will be awarded for partial completion of a course or for completions of a short term course. No credit is awarded for released-time programs of religious study.
