  1. Current Trustland Plan Implementation Review (Informational)
    1. 2025-2026 Trustland Plan
    2. Notes: Covered plan/link (bullet point a.) April meeting for approval of plan. Would like to use the funds instead of carry-over. Paras paid for out of trustlands is about 4 (with 1-2 using partial funds).
  1. USBE Sample Plan (Informational)
    1. Notes: This meeting is to help us prepare for next year’s plan. Reviewed link/doc. Planned expenditures at last year’s levels. Action items don’t have to have a dollar amount.
  1. Assessment Data Review for (Informational)
    1. Data Gateway/ReportCard Data Review: Overall Scores are Typical achievement; growth commendable; state looks at k-3 (not k-8, unfortunately) for Acadience Reading.  RISE and Acadience math scores are lower than ELA. Compared our scores with other schools comparable to us. RISE ELA scores are proficient. Also high in growth (ELA). Acadience reading scores ranked top 10 as a district. Still not there yet!  Math scores-below other schools. Science-proficient; top 3 growth. Covered historical data. Acadience Reading Green is no longer on-grade level, now pushing for blue. Mid-year testing 48% of students are Blue, 65% are green or blue.  Growth Scores are 67%.  The plan goal is 80%.
    2. Questions/Thoughts: Our data indicates we need to focus more on math; consider it as a greatest area of need. How do Acadiance math scores compare to Rise math scores?
  1. Council Foundational Discussion for 25-26 School Plan (Discussion)
    1. Areas of Greatest Need- Plan Writing
      1. Reviewed State's example Elementary Plan
    2. Focus on math, but don’t forget literacy. Won’t have end-of-year data before needing to approve the plan.
    3. IXL Math: How much growth does each student need to make? How is it calculated? Individual; based on their pathway/compared to kids across the nation. Acadiance. Can we see the growth trajectory as parents? Would that be helpful? The parent report used to show K to the current grade. Helped as a teacher and parent to see the growth or where holes are. Changed two years ago, no longer visible.
    4. Growth goal or proficiency goal? Growth goal. 80%? Currently at 67%. 80% is a good goal, we tend to be mid-70s at the end already. Math and reading? Yes, both. Keep Acadiance Assessment? Yes. IXL Math? 4th/5th use. Acadiance Math is an option. Dave will discuss with the teachers and do some more exploring regarding Math assessment options. IXL aligns with MyMath. ALEKS used depending on the child. ALEKS a higher level of how they ask the questions, more similar to RISE. Speaking with teachers by March and investigating.
    5. Making an official plan by April. Will review the draft plan in March.
    6. Budget going up to 90K (which is up 10k)
    7. Better to break up a document into two goals? Different action steps required if so.
    8. Action steps for upcoming year:
      1. Need to hire PARAs.
      2. BTS Art - can we start putting the play on the calendar? April 16 and 17 during school. Likely three performances, dress rehearsals, two parent shows. Integrates literacy into it. School House Rock.
      3. iPads. New to replace some. The district puts money towards this. The legislative session could change things (ends in March). If not using as much in K-2, for example, would give more funds for other things.
      4. Intercom system upgrade, teacher microphones, etc. have been great.
      5. Document cameras are affected because wires are going away. Old ones won’t work anymore. Can buy USB ones, buy adapters. Teachers use it frequently.
      6. Mult-year issue: projectors have to change, because they don’t work with the new systems and Apple TVs. Pricing out at $480/each. Envisioning a staged implementation. Ex. 10 at a time. Be thinking about it for next time.
      7. Leader in Me. Culture thing. What does it do for the school? Something you could create on your own? What does it do? Is it utilized (like more than half)? Most use it, not all, not every day. How often do they use/do the modules (about one a week)? Embedded into teaching, not always formalized. If the goal is reading and math, does the funding for emotional and social help with that? Is this more of a foundational school? If we didn’t do this, would we just have to buy something else and start all over? Do we need to be more specific in our action steps, such as “Teachers use the Leader-In-Me program to do….”? Foundational skills that help them learn math and reading more. Be more intentional. What do we do for Tier 3 Math? AmeriCorp.
        1. Character Ed. PBIS model, mighty eagle.
        2. Access to all of their resources. Curriculum. Social and emotional learning.
        3. Competency for state requirements met easily.
        4. Professional learning resources. Family courses.
        5. The Resource library is a great resource. Coach for this comes twice a year.
        6. Are there other options out there that accomplish similar things, but we have used this awhile.
        7. Huge student-led push. Leadership.
        8. Principal’s perspective: protects culture. Noticeable. The coach mentions this as well as other visitors. Leader-In-Me helps with this. More than just the habits.
        9. Could shift where the funding comes from. It is expensive. Could find a cheaper one, but doesn’t have the Covey name. Researching for the next conversation.
        10. Reading room: dissolved so we could get PARAs into the classroom more for younger ages. Looking into a program called SIPPS for Tier 2, Tier 3. Talking with them next Tuesday.
        11. Jennifer Thronson. Literacy-based reading, can do math too. Started her own company. Friendly rates. Jan 5 training, $650. Dave would like to have her talk with the teacher leadership team. Focus on K-3. How to support reading earlier.
        12. Software licenses. Paying less every year.
          1. Has K software been effective? Some here and there.
