Community Council Minutes
March 5, 2026
3:00 p.m. GVES Faculty room
Those in attendance: Marci Childs, Arleen Jensen, Melissa Christensen, Lisa Anderson, Elise Bown, and Jodi Hansen
- Review/ Approve Minutes: Minutes were read by Penny, Marci made a motion to approve, Lisa seconded the motion.
- Current Spending : Current spending was reviewed. There were no questions or concerns.
- 2025-2026 plan review: Goal is 80% language arts, 75% math
- 2026-2027 plan ideas and goals:
Aim for 80%language and 80% math next year for the goal.
Funding for paras will remain close to the same
Keep funding for the Art Teacher
Textbooks: Depending on legislation regarding Ipads it may need to increase.
Current Ipad software funding may go to para or textbooks ( meet in April to discuss)
- Wellness policy/Scorecard: All members filled out a scorecard. We read through them together and discussed questions or concerns
- Signature Form was signed by all in attendance
- Questions, Comments, Concerns: Reader Night was awesome!! The art contest ends on
Friday. Kinder and 1st grade plays coming up. May Day will be held on the football
field again this year.
Lisa made a motion to adjourn and Marci seconded the motion. Next meeting will be held April 14, 2026
