Community Council Minutes

February 5, 2026

3:00 p.m. GVES Faculty room


Those in attendance:  Marci Childs, Arleen Jensen, Melissa Christensen, Jodi Hansen, Jess Jackman, Lisa Anderson, Elise Bown, and Tyson Brackett


  1. Review/ Approve Minutes: Minutes were read by Penny,  Lisa made a motion to approve, Melissa seconded the motion.

  1. 24/25 Final Report:  The distribution of funds and final report was reviewed  

  1. Current Spending : Current spending as of 2/4/26 was reviewed and discussed projected spending for the remainder of the year.
    1. Trustlands
    2. Title 1
    3. TSSA

  1. Reading/Math data from MOY testing: Reviewed the Mid Year Testing scores 77/59 third grade reading and math

  1. State Report Card:  Utah Data Gateway- Access school report cards for any school in the state.  We reviewed our report card.
  1. Next Year’s plan:  Arleen asked if anyone had any changes that they though should be made for next year’s plan.  Everyone voted that the plan should stay the same.

  1. Upcoming dates:  Parent teacher conferences in Feb, Spring Break the last week of March

  1. Wellness policy:  Discussed the soup and salad wednesday for the Staff.  Everyone seemed to like it.  We also purchased new equipment for PE from the PIC Pizza Fundraiser Funds.  Talked about the things Macady is doing in PE - Jump Rope is very popular.

  1. Questions…. Concerns:  None.   Briefly discussed the Building Addition of two classrooms and a bigger Kindergarten Playground.  Also the addition of glass and doors in the front of the building by the office.

Lisa made a motion to adjourn and Jess seconded the motion.  Next meeting will be held March 5, 2026
