- Current spending - Arleen reviewed the current spending with the committee. Spending is on track and there are not any concerns regarding the budget at this time.
- Reading/Math Data from MOY Testing - Arleen went over the middle of the year testing data. She explained how the growth scores work and also how our Dibels scores are doing. Most grades have shown good improvement. Kindergarten saw very good gains. Any concerns were addressed. Math scores were reviewed with all grades showing gains. All testing data is available in the office.
- TSSA Spending - TSSA spending was also reviewed.
- Next year's plan - The committee was encouraged to review our current Trustlands plan and recommend any changes that they would like to see. All of the committee approved of our current goals and are open to working to reach the goals that we have in place. It was mentioned that 4th grade is struggling to make the jump from picture books to chapter books. It was noted that this is a common occurrence and they are looking for ideas to help with making this transition. The topic of AR was discussed. Some parents are really missing the AR Program as others are happy with the current option of parent reading notes. It was discussed that parents should have the option to do whichever program works for their children. Some teachers are finding that kids aren’t reading at all at home and are working to find a solution to helping those children be more successful readers.
Ideas were gathered for next year's plan. Arleen will have our rough draft for the 2023-24 Trustlands plan ready to review at our next meeting.
