- Proposed 20-21 plan – The new plan for next school year was reviewed by the committee. Our plan will basically remain the same with goals being 80% of students being proficient on EOY Dibels/Acadience, and 50 % of students being proficient on the math and language arts RISE Test.
Academic Areas will remain the same as well as our method of measurement and actions plan steps.
Expenditures for next years’ budgets are:
Paraprofessionals - $47,000
Text - $10,500
Software - $ 7,500
Professional Dev. - $ 5,500
Supply/iPads - $20,000
A motion to approve the plan was made by Marci Childs and seconded by Jentri Nay. All were in favor.
- Questions & concerns – Scott Jackson asked what the expectation was on how long students should be spending doing their online work during this soft closure. Arleen and Kiersten answered that they would expect no more that 60 minutes for Math, 60 minutes for Language Arts and 30 minutes for Writing. It was mentioned that we understand that all children and parents are handling the closure differently and we will be doing our best to support each family in their different circumstance.
- Thank you – Arleen thanked all of the members for their service on the council this year and wished everyone a restful summer!
- Next meeting - Our next meeting will be held in the fall after school resumes and those who have completed their terms have been replaced.
