April 15, 2020

Dear Parents and Students,

On April 14, Governor Gary Herbert and State Superintendent Sydnee Dickson announced that the state public school system would continue to remain on a "soft closure" for the remainder of the school year.  All extra-curricular activities, including team practices and state tournaments, will be canceled.

We recognize that changes implemented due to the COVID-19 crisis have been difficult for students and parents.  Our top priority is to keep students safe and to help stop the spread of this disease.  We also want to deliver quality instruction to ensure student learning.  The response from the community has been phenomenal.

We will continue to deliver online instruction through the rest of this year. (May 22)  Please stay in touch with teachers.  Many students are performing well with online delivery.  However, some may be experiencing problems.  Our schools and teachers are available for assistance in any way.

The latest and most factual information concerning COVID-19 is found on the website listed below:

Sincerely,

Kent R. Larsen

Superintendent
