SUMMER BRIDGE BOOKS/
SUMMER READING PACKETSEES will again sponsor a summer reading incentive program which helps prevent “summer loss”, strengthen academic skills, and kids return to school prepared. Students currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 4th grade are eligible to participate either through the purchase of a Summer Bridge Workbook OR the FREE Summer Reading Packet which focuses on Math, Reading, Language Arts, Writing, etc. Notes about both of these programs have been sent home. In addition to completing and returning the workbook/packet, students must read 20 minutes per day, 15 days each month (June, July, August) and turn in a reading calendar at the end of the summer to qualify. There will be a Summer Reading Reward Field Trip in the fall for those who complete either program. Questions? Contact school librarian: Shauna Wayman.
MAY DAY PROGRAM
This year our annual May Day Program will be held on Thursday, May 27th at 10:00 a.m. The program will be held OUTSIDE at the Snow College football field. The May Day theme is “Night at the Movies” and students will celebrate through music and dance, weather permitting. Please bring a jacket as it may be chilly outside in the morning. The program will most likely be under an hour in length, and masks will be required due to the inability to social distance. We feel so fortunate to have a program this year and appreciate the hard work of the EES May Day committee and accommodations provided by Snow College. Watch for additional information from your child’s teacher in the weeks to come!
